Women in Data & Tech

Women in Data has worked with Sane Seven for eight years to change the visual perception of women in data and technology.

The goal was not simply to photograph successful women. It was to move the image of the sector away from the old stereotype of the isolated “tech geek” and towards something more accurate: women as powerful, self-determined leaders shaping some of the most important parts of the global economy.

Each year, the project features twenty leading women across data and technology. Across the series, photography became part of the wider argument. Sane Seven’s role has been to give that leadership a visual language: confident, contemporary and impossible to reduce to a cliché.
